Fundraising Update

Box Tops – the Box Top deadline is fast
approaching. Please turn in Box Tops to
your classroom before school break begins on February 21st. Box Tops
helps support the Hands on Nature program which is a science enrichment program
run by parent volunteers at our school.
Sending in Box Tops from General Mills products helps keep this program
going.
Tips
for Parents on cutting out Box Tops:
1) Cut along the line before
submitting the box top
2) Check that the box top hasn’t
expired

▪ Amazon – If you shop on AMAZON please take an extra step
and enter the site through the link on the PTO page. The PTO will earn up to 15% of your
purchases! Please remember that you need
to use this link each time you shop for the PTO to benefit.
▪ Red Barn Fundraiser – we raised $1,137
that will go back to the school.
▪ Red Wagon Plant Fundraiser - packets will be distributed March 28th, orders due back April 11th and pick up on May 22nd.

Dynamic Dates – will take place March 7-14
with the winners being announced on March 17th.
Fund Spending
▪
CVU Summer Camp – the PTO will be
providing a donation to the scholarship fund which will allow for one child to
attend the camp. The CVU Summer Camp is
designed to provide all incoming ninth graders with a positive transition to
high school.
▪
Hands on Nature – the PTO provided a
donation in the amount of $1,048 to support the efforts of the Hands on Nature
program.

Get Out the Vote – March 3rd - help

Internet Safety Presentation – the
presentation given by Detective Thomas Nash on internet safety and how to
protect children online while still allowing some technological independence

Highlights from Principals Report
▪ GeoBee: Josh Gamble was the overall winner and he will be going on to represent SCS in the statewide competition in February.
▪ The Kindergarten concert that took place on February 11th was a huge hit with over 100 parents and family members in attendance. Thank you to Diana Burritt, Jude Olson and Mary Nelson for pulling it all together.
▪ Fiddler on the Roof will take place February 19th and 20th at the Shelburne Town Center.
