Little Readers

Be sure that they use their index finger to point (we call this "tracking") as they sing this song to you!  Have fun!

Marble Reward Jar

I almost forgot to tell you....they began filling the classroom reward jar.  Be sure to ask your child about it.

Successful First Day!

I am so proud of all 17 friends in our classroom. They did such a fantastic job warming up to each other and meeting many new great friends. Every single child left with a smile on their faces! Chicka Chicka Boom Boom was a huge hit right off the bat! After singing the Peanut Butter song, which I am sure you will hear more of all throughout the weekend, we played Tunnel Tag outside, read stories, decorated birthday crowns for our classroom bulletin board, and even created self portraits using multicultural crayons. Be sure to come check out the display outside of our room. I am sure they will sleep well tonight:)

New Snail

I guess our new snail really likes the Lego guy in our fish tank.  I thought this would make you smile!

My Dog Dozer

This is my dog Dozer.  He loves to go for long walks with me.  He also loves laying around on his cozy bed.  My son Langdon likes to be sure that Dozer is never lonely by supplying Dozer with stuffed animals to lay with.

Our Kidblog Page

My students will be using iPads this year and will be learning how to blog using Kidblog. What a great way for students to reflect on what they are learning by using 21st Century technology.  Will be a lot of fun!  Great learning for me as well!

Welcome to Kindergarten!

I am so excited to introduce you to our new Kindergarten Blog. My hope is that this blog will be used to update you on what is going on in our classroom. Some days you will see one or several posts. Others you may not find any. Please add your email in the box to the left to get automatically informed when a post has been made. It is an easy way to keep track of our classroom without having to come to our blog each and every day.
