Fire Safety Day

Today was Fire Safety Day.  We had a fire safety presentation from two Shelburne Firefighters.  They learned about fire safety, calling 911, as well as Stop, Drop, & Roll.  Here are some photos from our fun day.

Super Reading Powers

Your little readers have been busy learning some beginning reading skills. Today they received super capes to keep in their book boxes to help engage their "Super Reading Powers".  

Six New Classroom Friends

We have six painted lady caterpillars waiting to emerge from their chrysalises.  The children have been so excited to see their life cycles from tiny caterpillars to their pupa stage now.

Nearby Nature

Last week the children had their first Nearby Nature lesson.  A small group of parents have been trained to facilitate a series of lessons on various life science topics.  Last Friday, the children had their first lesson about insects.  Here are some photos from the fun.

Welcome Ms. Jaime

 We are so lucky to have a special guest teacher joining us on Thursday mornings.  Ms. Jaime is a student teacher from UVM.  The children had fun completing a guided discovery about how to use and properly care for Elmer's glue with Jaime today.
